Ms. Schwanger has a diverse background in disability sport. Laura started with sled hockey three

years ago. From the first time she attempted skating and net minding everyone took her as serious.

From that time on she has been a fierce competitor and has transcended past mediocrity. Laura has

been concentrating on goaltender and has become tenacious in that position. Laura had participated

in Track and Field; representing the US in Seoul (1988), Barcelona (1992) and Atlanta (1996). Her

modesty prevents her from bragging of the 11 medals she acquired in just eleven events of

Paralympic competition. She is quite a disability activist; a representative on the Pennsylvania

Assistive Technology Foundation, United Spinal and Inglis House boards. Laura has just taken on

her latest diversion; rowing, where she is sure to find the success that a well rounded athlete

demands.
